Formed by three female high school students in Portland, Oregon, Never Mind Jimmy holds a loudly unique presence in the rock scene. Largely influenced by punk, grunge, and emo bands from the 90’s and 2000’s, Never Mind Jimmy stands out in this male-dominated industry with its female “frontman.” Their sound and style is comparable to bands like Nirvana, The Brobecks, Sublime, Panic! At The Disco, and more. The band’s sound consists of heavy drums and bass, distorted guitars, and strong female vocals. They’re known for their high-energy style, as well as their very haunting tone and lyrics. Their red and black, grungey aesthetic makes them easily recognizable, especially when you see them sporting their signature sunglasses.

Never Mind Jimmy caters to its audience of rock fans in their late teens and early twenties through the emotions and stories told through their music. Music can help people work through their trauma and other difficult times in their life. Never Mind Jimmy creates music to help do just that with their audience, and turn their emotions into high-energy anthems and shows. The band’s main audience can be found in Phoenix, Arizona (where the band is currently located), as well as the West Coast. This audience is predominantly located in the Pacific Northwest, because of the band’s ties to the local scene as well as many of the songs references to their hometown. The band’s style of clothing matches their audience’s, with their baggy clothes, flannels, and layered sweatshirts and t-shirts. 

Never Mind Jimmy aims to support and lift up fellow musicians in their community, especially female musicians. Currently working on their debut album, Never Mind Jimmy is working behind the scenes with local artists and bands in their current location of Phoenix, Arizona, to build a community and prepare for their release.
